GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Large,
heavy
bone, alert, affectionate and intelligent, eyes bright, impression of
flowing movement and subdued power. Females are appreciably smaller
overall than males. Conformation should not be sacrificed for markings,
nor markings for conformation.
HEAD: The head is a medium sized, broad modified wedge, with the appearance of a flat plane between the ears. Muzzle is round, medium in length, with well-developed chin. Nose to have a gentle slope between eyes. Neck is short, heavy and strong. EARS: Medium size, rounded tip, tilted forward. EYES: Blue, large and oval. Outer aperature to fall in line with base of ear. Not oriental. BODY: Long with full chest, equally massive across shoulders and hind quarters. Muscular and heavier in hind quarters, tendency for "fatty pad" on lower abdomen. LEGS: Medium long, heavy, back legs higher than front. Fur on front legs thick, short to medium in length. Fur on hind legs medium to long, thick and feather like. PAWS: Large, Round, feather tufted. TAIL: Long in proportion to body length. medium, at base with slight taper, carried at angle higher than back. COAT: Medium long to long, plush and silky. Coat lies with body and breaks as cat moves. Longest around neck and outer edges of the face; appearnce of a bib; short on face, increases in length from top of head down through shoulder blades and back.
BODY COLOR & PATTERN: Definite
contrast between body, color and points. Allowance to be made for
darkening in older cats as long as it is even.

Colorpoint: Point color is on mask,
ears, legs, feet and tail. These should be well defined. Body color
lighter than point color. Chest, bib and chin may be somewhat lighter
in color. Soft shadings of color are allowed on body.
Mitted: Points are the same as color
point except feet are to be well defined. Chin and feet to be WHITE.
A broken or evenly matched white blaze of even dimension on nose and/or
between eyes is acceptable. White mittens on front legs to be evenly
matched. Back legs should be entirely white, extending NC higher than
mid-thigh. White must go around entire hock. A White stripe varying
in width extends from bib and runs down underside between forelegs to
underbase of tail. Body is a shade lighter than point color.
Bicolor: Point color is on ears, mask
and tail. These should be well defined. Mask to have inverted "V",
which shall be as symmetrical as possible. Stomach and all four legs,
feet and ruff to be white. Body color lighter than point color. May
have various markings of white and color patches. Nose and pad leather,
pink.
COLOR DESCRIPTIONS:
Blue Point: Points slate blue. Body bluish white, color shading, if any, in the color of points. Nose and pad leather slate blue. Chocolate Point: Points milk chocolate color. Body shading, if any, in the color of points. Nose and pad leather burnt-rose tone. Seal Point: Points deep seal brown. Body fawn to cream, color shading, if any, in the color of points. Nose and pad leather deep seal brown.
