GENERAL: The Ragdoll is a medium to large, longhaired cat. Slow to mature; this breed may take up to three years to fully develop.

HEAD & NECK: Medium in size, modified wedge with flat appearance between ears, slight nose break. Cheeks well developed, tapering to rounded, yet strong muzzle. Good strong jaw and chin. Neck is medium-short and well muscled.

EARS: Large, medium-broad at base, set moderately high, but continueing the wedge with a slight forward tilt. Medium furnishings; tips rounded and tufts are desirable.

BODY: Medium to large with a deep chest and well muscled. Body longer than tail; muscular with fatty, pendulous tissue on belly. Equally broad at shoulders and hips with heavy hindquarters. Back flat, not arched.

LEGS & PAWS: Legs medium in length, slightly heavy boning. Hind legs slightly longer than front. Paws large, round, firm. Toes well tufted.

TAIL: Long with slight taper, full.

COAT: Medium long to long, thick, soft and silky. Longest on bib (chest) and belly, shorter on face and increasing in length from top of head to base of tail.

COLOR & PATTERN: See Appendix for pointed colors Lilac, Chocolate, Blue and Seal ONLY.

Mitted: Chest, bib, chin and paws white. White line from bib, down belly to base of tail. White mittens on front paws evenly matched and scalloped over toes. Back legs and paws solid white to mid-thigh. Paw pads pink. Nose leather to match color of points.

Bicolor: White mask, chin, bib, chest, stomach, legs and paws, with random white spotting on back and flanks permitted. White mask extends from inverted "V" (centered on face, preferred), flowing into bib, well balanced on each side. Paws and nose leather -- pink.

Colorpoint: As for Siamese -- lilac, chocolate, blue and seal. Paw pads and nose leather same as for Siamese colors.

WITHHOLD WINS: Lack of white chin on Mitted, any dark markings on white area of mask on Bi-Color, any white on Color-Points.
